Win Free Magnum Boots
At MilitaryBoots.com headquarters, four folks are sporting Magnum boots today. And it’s not just a strange coincidence.
Magnum recently sent us four pairs to review, and with each review, they offered to give one of our loyal readers a free pair of boots. Starting next Thursday, you’ll spot a Magnum boot review along with a question for the next four weeks. All you’ll have to do is answer that question in the comments section. Naturally, the person who has the best response will earn themselves free Magnum boots.
Make sense?
Each week there will be a new question; each week there will be a new winner. All you’ll have to do is comment to win. UPDATE: Click here to comment on our first contest post in order to win!
So, what boots are up for grabs?
Men’s Magnum 8” Stealth Force SZ

Men’s Magnum Precision Ultra Lite WPi

Women’s Magnum 8” Stealth Force SZ WPi

Women’s Magnum 6” Response II

What kind of questions do you think people should answer in order to win a free pair of boots? Let us know, and come back on Thursday to comment and win! And be sure to follow Magnum on Facebook and Twitter.
This contest is open to the U.S. and Canada only. If the winner’s size is out of stock, Magnum will replace with another style of equal of lesser value.

There are some good looking boots here. I particularly like the style of the Stealth Force boots listed above…really cool.

Do they make magnum boots for women?
Are these just mens styles?

I hope they’re better than the boots I was wearing when I was in the marine corp. Those boots gave me huge blisters!

Hi, Randy-
Great questions. All of the boots with mesh in the uppers are very breathable, and we have some new breathable features in some of the new boots like the Spider 8.1 Desert boot. With the Precision, that boot is made from a synthetic leather upper. It’s not necessarily the most breathable compared to our other boots, but it is ion-masked, which is a much more breathable treatment than a traditional booty liner. For the boots listed above, non have stitched on soles. The cements that are used to attach the sole unit to the uppers is intended to be there permanently, but as we all know, footwear breaks down over time, especially in harsh conditions.
Feel free to let us know if you have any additional questions about Magnum Boots!

Are the soles stitched or otherwise permanetly attached?

Are the Magnum boots made from breathable material? Excess moisture is always a concern.

Hi, Doug-
Thanks for the questions. In regards to your first question, the Magnum Stealth Force SZ is very well cushioned with its compression molded EVA midsole and MPACT innersole. It is impossible for us to determine whether or not a product is likely to cause blisters as every person has a unique foot and thus determined the fit of any boot differently. However, Magnum products have been always been proud to require very little break-in and to fit comfortably right out of the box. Lastly, in regard to running, this boot is durable and cushioned enough to stand-up to the occasional need to run, but if running is required more than occasionally, we’d recommend our Magnum Elite Spider 8.0. This boot has a much more athletic design and midsole outsole combination. http://www.magnumboots.com/us/prod/5519.asp
As for your second question, the Magnum Stealth Force SZ is likely to be a very comfortable boot for your rides, but it does contain some nylon mesh in the upper. Sometimes the nylon mesh could melt if exposed to extreme heat from your motorcycle’s engine. Often times we see our customers choose an all leather boot to ride in such as our Magnum Elite Force 8.0 WPi. http://www.magnumboots.com/us/prod/5298.asp
We hope that this helps answer your questions!

How would these boots fit the demand for motorcycle riders, especially those in the cruiser class?
Doug
Are they cushioned and not likely to cause blisters as well as good for the knees, especially where running is required?
